Program Overview

Leadership Johnston is an intensive nine-month program crafted for professionals who are ready to elevate their careers and step into leadership roles within their organizations. This program is specifically designed for individuals who are not only poised for advancement but also eager to embrace new challenges and responsibilities. Through a comprehensive curriculum that blends theory with practical application, participants will gain the tools and insights needed to thrive as leaders in today’s dynamic workplace.

9 Sessions

9 Months

Participants are expected to attend all 9 sessions, held on the third Thursday of the month starting in January, with no session in July.

Tuition for Leadership Johnston is $1,750, covering nine months of instruction, materials, a team-building retreat, and graduation. Participants will benefit from highly skilled instructors, including professional development experts and esteemed college professors, ensuring a top-notch educational experience.

Healthcare

Participants will gain new insights into health care, social services, and the challenges faced in providing healthcare in a fast growing county

Government

The class will explore Johnston County' government, including discussions with local and state leaders.

Economic Development

Participants will explore the economic drivers and resources in Johnston County as they learn about opportunities, challenges, and the principles behind sound economic development.

Education

Teachers, administrators, and other decision-makers from Johnston County will share their perspectives on the county's education systems, guiding participants as they evaluate local funding sources, explore demographic trends, and assess the impact of education in our community.

Leadership Development

Participants will explore strategies for fostering inclusivity and effective leadership across cultural, demographic, and philosophical differences as part of their leadership development journey.

Hospitality & Tourism

The class will experience firsthand the sites that make living in Johnston County unique. This includes a dedicated Tourism Day that highlights the county's distinctive attractions and landmarks.
