My time in Leadership Johnston connected me with individuals I never would have had the opportunity to meet. I learned more about who I was, and how my skill set can influence others in my community. It brought out facets of leadership I didn't know I possessed. Highly recommend it.

For me, LJ was an opportunity to see other areas and facets of our county. Having worked in Benson since 1995, most of my professional experiences had been in our corner of the county, and it was fascinating to see what other areas and communities had to offer. I truly enjoyed meeting and spending time with my classmates and instructors, and it was one of my first chances to develop professional networking skills, which now serve me well as a Chief of Police. LJ was a fantastic experience, and I would encourage anyone to attend, and/or send their staff!

Leadership Johnston was amazing for me as I had just moved to Johnston County and had so much to learn about! I was able to make connections and new friends that helped me tremendously in my position at Partnership for Children. I was able to learn about many of the businesses that are located in Johnston County and it made me feel proud that I was a part of Leadership Johnston and a resident as well. We all need each other to do our jobs well!

Participating in Leadership Johnston boosted my confidence to tackle new responsibilities at work, helped me grow professionally, and deepened my understanding of the community I serve. This journey was transformative, empowering me to lead with a greater impact in Johnston County.

Leadership Johnston County has given me more confidence in public speaking. The information that was provided allowed me to use my communication skills to advance on the job. I am very thankful for what I learned and how it has grown my confidence in a way that will provide more leadership opportunities. This program changed the way I look at leadership and how I can advance my career.
